Why is Xaden toxic? Their families are enemies so the way he's acting makes sense. He's secretly helping his wing, and he's actually helping her with his instruction/advice when they spar...but he's the toxic one?? lol

Dain is only looking out for her - to keep her safe. And she only got so far because of the 'extras' that she's slipping to her opponents. But she's pissed he cares?

okay so why am i getting acotar vibes right now? it's like dain is tamlin, violet is feyre, and xaden is rhysand. no? just me?

and again, the graphic audioversion is so much better than reading the actual book. i'm curious about where this is going though...

Contemporary romance has been a HUGE hit or miss for me, so instead of rage-reading (what my reading seems to be more often than not, to the point I stopped reading nearly 6 months ago) I thought I'd switch it up and change genres. But I love romance, so maybe it's time to enter my Romantasy era...

I am struggling with this one. I don’t think I’m the right mood for this. The hero is supposed to come off as sexy and charming (I think) but what I’m reading is him harassing the heroine and laughing at her expense 😡🤬 I might need to stop reading this for the moment...

I am so close to DNFing this shit! Unless Truly takes a baseball bat to Noah’s balls instead of laughing it off like what he did is no big deal, and she dumps Becca who is a shitty best friend! I’m holding out hope this improves sometime soon...
