sooooo it turns out fictional hockey players are much less disappointing than real ones

I picked this up at Desparate Literature soooo many times, I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to actually read it

hehe taking a break from actually sewing to read about it for a sec

this book is so weird and I’m so into it

a) I love a daydreamer
b) I hate that she’s 21 and he’s 42

this books feels like a document of the earliest stages of the world we live in today, that no one could have imagined then. deeply sinister!!!

Okay I take it back, I’m super enjoying this book & I think the psychosis (not to pathologize) feels earned.

I’m finding this super readable and interesting but it has unfortunately caught me at a moment when I’m feeling fed up with the whole first-person-woman who is hot but a psycho trope. It feels likes there’s an over saturation of there narratives!!

Everytime I have to put this down it makes me sad! Also it’s the third book I’ve read that mentions the Strand in the three months I’ve been working there…
