I particularly enjoyed Marmeladov's ranting and I'm curious to see how the story will continue to contrast Raskolnikov's journey of guilt with Marmeladov's absurd honesty.

just read the Aristotle hate chapter, I wish all philosophical literature was this entertaining.

Those who read this book and come away with it mad that it's not just a novel, but a book with graphs and some philosophy in it are the same as those who come away mad that there's a novel in their philosophy book. Both of them seem to miss the entire point of this fusion. I don't know if it works or not. There's something here of importance, though I'm unsure if it will give it to me in the way I need it.

The evolving philosophy of science is so cool. I forgot that this book was about ideas. Really interesting stuff if you hate the divide between STEM and the liberal arts. I feel a bit more sold on Pirsig's idea of "Quality", although at times I feel like he's just forcing it into incredibly sound analysis and useful advice.

I've been reading this for a while and I think I'm finally going to finish it this summer. Pirsig attempts to unify everything under his notion of "Quality"--a third metaphysical force present (and perhaps causing?) the interaction of mind and matter. I'm not sure if I buy it, but Pirsig's analysis of understanding (classical vs romantic) is really cool to me. schizo motorcycle book

The analytical and matter-of-fact writing of Hilda Gadea makes me feel all warm and fuzzy whenever she starts talking about love.

Touching in a pseudo-intellectual but not without merit kind of way. It's philosophy for people who've never read philosophy (me). A criticism of education and a semi-nonfictional father-son story with motorcycle elements. I'll finish it, eventually.

I have put this book down forever and don't know what I'll find when I get bored and reopen it.
