Well written, but feel like I’ve read this same story a dozen times before.

Hearing the history of these poems and the influence of those around him as he wrote is a fascinating study.

David rails against death, travels the country in search of himself and wonder what the future holds for him or if he even has a future. He has accepted there is a virus living inside of him, and for the first time he shows fear.

David’s dream interpretation and definition of dreams is fascinating. I’m truly enjoying this, but it’s time to finish it out and move on.

I think this is best of Rice’s latter writings. Very enjoyable.

Third time’s the charm with this one. Started it for the third time and I’m engrossed in this universe. Perhaps the best book I’ve read this year.

This is the one. By Far the best translation of Vanya I've read.

Act III played much better than the previous two acts. I still feel the language is tilted and not nearly as contemporary as I’m searching for. But I do have to admit the map monologue played very well.

This is a very good translation, but not as good as I was hoping for. Some of the languages too stogy. I was hoping for something more modern in its approach to the language. since Vanya is the most relevant of Chekhov’s plays.

So brilliant and even more relevant now than when he wrote it. The info on Brecht was outstanding.

This is a fascinating read of Thomas Merton's early years at The Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani.

Oh, Mary! is hilariously funny. It is written in the style of old burlesque sketches, and is brilliantly handled in author. Cole Escola’s hands.

Mark Twain the liberal activist. Whoda thunk it.

In which David grapple with his mortality, feels guilty for how sexual he is and shows us that he fears death.

This is definitely a long haul read, but definitely worth the time and focus needed. This is by far the definitive biography of Mark Twain.

Our hero, David, is now dealing with the aftermath of his AIDS diagnosis. It’s so sad reading about the realizations he’s come to.

A fascinating read! I’m loving this read.
