I hate it when real life stops me reading!! Just got to the start of part two. It's all so good and yay Dain is finally on the right side!! I love all the plot twists ❤

Scowling out of my bed, I pondered what sort of excuse I would use today to avoid the court.

The word scowling would not normally be used in this way in modern day English and it just stopped the flow of the narrative and interrupt the flow of reading and is bad grammatical. I do ponder if an AI took was used to help write this book
It just feels off and jarring to read!

I give this book ago as another poster asked people too and I was intrigued by the storyline.
I'm dyslexic and I find this book hard to read because the narrative voice does not match the character dialogue, the wording is choppy and just off in some places. There is no placing, the narrative voice overshadows the action and dialogue, making it hard to understand the storyline and the character developed.

I'm reading this book for the first time with my children and so far we are enjoying it. I have seen the film and I can't wait to play the dolphin song for them 😁 and I loved explaining 'Ford Prefect' to them 😂
Arthur Dent is the quintessential English man, it's so far just a heart warming and funny read. The wonderful sense of humour and the brave fight to save his house from a bypass.

KM Shea books always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. So far I'm loving the dark humour and the descriptive atmosphere the writer creates. Jade would make a great friend and her social anxiety is so relatable. I'm still unsure about Connor... Also does Mrs. Booker, in the book shop, does she know that they are vampire and a Slayer? Does she know more than most other people...

The author needs to learn to show and not tell, lots of info dumping but still interesting to read
