longest book ever wtf

i've made like no progress reading this but i just wanted to bring up that i read this paper talking about how the eucharist was central to Joyce's aesthetic... like what are we talking about bro. I hate harold bloom's whole academic goon squad. this book is so buns i have to use a translator to read it this is why we have to delete modernism

my dumbass tried reading this book to learn korean better but its stupid because its like reading shakespeare or joyce to learn english. too late though.

No wonder harold bloom loves this book it’s literally just a glaze fest for the overly academic western tradition. Constant allusions to the bible, hamlet, and the odyssey (duh) but tbh its not all that. Joyce is quoted to say that he gave scholars centuries of work with this & He also quoted christ at the last supper on his 50th birthday in latin which all the academics overhype…just painfully pretentious.
