This promises to be a harrowing S&M story. I’m always a little afraid to start these.

One of the challenges that a new vampire faces:

This is just adorable, and very hot too.

What’s weird is that it’s set in NYC but the book is written in Australian English and uses 24-hour time notation (ie: 19:30 = 7:30pm).

An example:
“The next couple of hours fly by, and I realise I like Chloe a lot. She’s funny and smart. She has a first-class honours degree in fashion. She designs and sells her own brand online, which I promise to look up later.”

Yeah, an icky title (sperm donor), but the story is good so far. Interesting because he’s probably asocial, and definitely asexual.

Often with Scottish or Irish characters, the language is either disappointing (they sound like everyone else), or it’s overdone and they sound like a caricature. Here? It’s perfect.
