Still powering though. Interested to see if I appreciate this book more now that I’m older than when I first read it.

It’s been a while since I’ve read the rest of the series, but I do love this book! I want to call it my favorite but it feels too early.

Huh… using relativity to explain the appearance of billions of years in the galaxies while only days on Earth is a fascinating idea

Another nostalgic throwback read

Wow it’s easy to fly through audiobooks!

I’m pretty sure it’s the authors favorite thing to harp on “density fluctuations.” Maybe that’ll be my new favorite thing to. Density fluctuation… *sigh* *eye roll* 🙄

I love that in this book about the Big Bang with all this technical jargon and complicated concepts, the author felt the need to give examples of what spheres are:
“Imagine we lived in a 2-D world on the surface of a 3-D sphere (e.g., a ball, a soap bubble, or a balloon.”

Now that Spotify premium has these for free, I will in fact be rereading/listening to the whole series again.

If church fellowship is approaching God together, then surely prayer fellowship is also approaching God together in common faith. Does Jesus differentiate fellowship? Why then should we? WELS differentiates between praying with someone with weak faith and someone who defends false teaching. We should not fellowship with those who serve their own thoughts through false doctrine.

The desire for Lutheran unity was at odds with the idea of how much doctrinal unity was necessary for fellowship. Some in Missouri felt that traditionalism was overtaking Scriptural truth. There was a divide in Missouri over the “midwestern” versus “eastern” stances of conservatism with fellowship.
