And a few I can figure out myself… determined to just *know* these and passively build my Latin knowledge

I have a love-hate relationship with the Latin phrases sprinkled throughout.

Recently was handed down this book. It feels good to pick up a doctrinal book again.

“It is therefore correct to say that where there is no sanctification, there is also no faith.” In the time we live in, this statement seems bold.

Read this a few years ago “before” it was applicable. There are a lot of good common sense reminders in here.

Rereading yet another book because I lack originality 😁 but I read this a decade ago for school so it’s fine

Ha. “…hydrogen ions — raw protons with no electron —“ I love when the scientists add descriptions when they absolutely would not have to in a real scientific conversation.

One week left to finish reading this book.

Oopsie. Meant to read for half an hour and read for an hour instead. You know… I think Ryan Gosling is going to make a great Ryland Grace.

I’ve been enjoying listening to this on audiobook again. Can’t remember when I read it the first time.

The first chapter is mainly “why you should do this.” I appreciated the chart that showed “Phases of First-Year Teachers’ Attitude Toward Teaching.” Even though that chart in and of itself wasn’t the point, I resonated with being in the disillusionment phase (but starting to crawl out of it perhaps)

I really enjoy this author, but the one thing I don’t love so much as a Lutheran is the grand spiritual encounters of the personal voice of God speaking to the characters. I like the idea of our experiences preparing us for God, but I don’t love God speaking outside of his Word.

Needed an easy going book to listen to while I drove.

Don’t tell my students I’m 6-7 percent done with this book.
