I genuinely don't know who Lukas Gage is but I kind of feel like this book might end up making me cry.

Still really good, but don't know if I'll be able to finish it for a while yet, as university responsibilities are calling, and tragically, they don't involve serial killer books.

This is the kind of book that makes me excited to wake up in the morning to read it. It's well-written, offers incredible insights on Dahmer not seen anywhere else, and its perception and explanations of human psychology and nature, especially as they apply to this case, are the most fascinating part.

REALLY disappointed with how this going; Schwartz is entirely indiscriminate with her sources and this seems LITTERED with inaccuracies. Although I'll keep reading and certainly hope it redeems itself, this is entirely unsatisfying so far.

I've only read the first essay, Against Interpretation, but I'm loving this so far. Short, easy to read and understand, and supremely interesting; I'm excited to discover more of her work. I disagree entirely with her glorification of art (wherein she claims art matters so much that we ought to avoid interpreting it so as not to weaken its effect), but I concede that if art can be said to have value, it's emotional.
