I’ve been both dying to read a Mia Sheridan book but also too intimidated to pick one up because she so well loved that I’m afraid I’ve set my expectations unrealistically high. What better time to find out than no fantasy November? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had 4 of her books on my kindle to choose from but I’ve seen this one pop up the most so I thought it would be a good place to start.

I’ve read 90 books so far this year and all but like 2 of them were fantasy so I’m fondly referring to this month as “No Fantasy November” and with the exception of my ‘re-read’ of ACOTAR (which is technically a first time listen on graphic audio) while I clean house, there will be no fantasy reading this month. Let’s see if I can stick to it. So far, we’re off to a fun start.

I have a feeling that I’m going to regret this while pooling out a bucket of tears but I’m struggling to find something to replace Anathema and Eldritch with for the last week of my spooky season reads. Here goes everything.. 🫣🥴

I thought this was a duology. Just learned that it’s going to be a trilogy and that eldritch ends on a major cliff hanger so I am pulling the plug and saving these for next year’s spooky season pending the release of book three. 😭😭💔
