Isabelle is finished with [ Medications: The Ultimate Teen Guide Tuttle, Cheryl Gerson ( Author ) ] { Hardcover } 2004
I have learned that although Medication is helpful it doesn't fix everything completely, but I still think I definitely need Adderall. I know for a fact that ADHD will get better in life but most teens need drugs for it more than children. This was surprising to me so it's an AH-HA moment.

I noticed that most of the men in the story seem to be really sexist or full of themselves besides Romeo, which makes me think that maybe Romeo was taught to be more respectful than the other jerks like Tybalt and Samson. This was an AH-HA moment for me.

Although the language was hard to understand I noticed it was easier to understand when Romeo and Juliet were confessing love to each other. I'm not sure why but when normal conversation is having with all the old timey I have to read it multiple times but when it's about love I can read it very easily. This was an AH HA moment for me because I realized love is one thing people can all understand on paper.

I noticed that despite Romeo and Juliet's ages they act and speak and seem like adults despite still being teens and this confuses me because it doesn't seem like they got or had a childhood at all and I picture them as adults despite them not being that. This brings tough questions.

Shakespeare refers to dreams in this book as children of an idle brain, this bring tough questions for me because I have no idea what that means. Are children hypothetically making dreams or are people children in their dreams, what does he mean?

I was surprised that Juliet is only 14 years old when Romeo is around 18. I didn't realize the age gap and how young they are, this is an AH-HA moment because I realize that it was really rough for girls back then because usually they got married at a very young age and boys married really young girls and that's just how it was back then.

I keep wondering how much mobility Melody has, she can swing around her arms and legs that are like noodles but she has no strength and can't walk or talk. This produces tough questions.

I was surprised to see that Melody doesn't like everything at camp, there's also things she doesn't like about it. This is an AH-HA moment because it made me realize this camp isn't perfect.

I was very surprised about Melody's reflection to her home life, when she thinks about school even though she loves learning she only thinks about her horrible peers instead of anything else in school, this was an AH-HA moment for me because you would think someone who loves learning would also love school but this isn't the case.

I noticed that the author uses onomatopoeia in the book a lot. This is an AH-HA moment for me cause I realized that Melody must really rely on hearing and sight since the things she can do are so limited.

I was really surprised when Melody was able to make a basket in a short basketball hoop. It took a lot of tries but I think not only is Melody getting mental guidance in life but also discovering her physical abilities.

Melody is never being put down at camp. In the previous book about Melody in Out of my Mind everyone assumed that Melody could do nothing and was constantly putting her down but at camp in this book it is the exact opposite, this was an AH-HA moment for me.

I was very surprised that Melody's crush also has synesthetes (seeing colors with sounds) considering how rare the ability is and wondered if this was some form of symbolism the author put in to show similarities or cleverness. For me this brought on difficult questions.

An AH-HA moment came when I read about the playground with Melody and her friends. I realized that none of those girls had ever gone to a playground before, it makes me wonder why more playgrounds aren't specially designed for kids like Melody.

I had an AH-HA moment when I realized that the 4 girls including Melody don't like the counselors always being around them. i thought having adults would make them feel safer but instead they all related that it was annoyingly like home.

Sonita's Mom reaction to the rap music is very surprising to me. Instead of being happy for her daughter she deems her unimportant and wants to sell her. Exactly what her songs are against. It must be heartbreaking for Sonita in this time where woman are seen as property.

I noticed an AH-HA moment when Melody kept referring to her as smart showing she might be a little full of herself. Although she is very sweet and doesn't brag in her inner thoughts she often thinks very highly of herself and how smart she is.

An AH-HA moment I had while reading this is when Melody starts talking about when a storm came and the lights went out. Here she can exactly describe what the problem is and what the electricians fixed after the storm was over. This shows us that Melody reads a lot and despite it being summer is still constantly learning.

I noticed there was again and again when ZZ and the sisters constantly refer to the new neighbors as the rich boys. I find it interesting that they call them the rich kids but I bet the "rich kids" don't refer to them as the poor kids.

Today I noticed the words of the wiser moment multiple times. This occured whenever the counselors explained to the campers how safe this was. Keep in mind these campers have never been able to do anything dangerous in their life so just going on a boat scared them. But every time they ask questions they are met with very satisfactory answers that don't leave them as scared or unsure as they were before.

Today I had an AH-HA moment, first let me say that I've also been to summer camp like Melody. I thought the camp would be a lot different but surprisingly I don't see much of a difference in my camp vs. the camp Melody is going to. The only major difference is the fact that a lot of the kids need more help and have their own personal counselors but besides that it's the same.

"At the same time, hearing him say that gave me an ache. He wouldn't have me! For a whole week!" (pg 57) This for me is an AH-HA moment because it makes me realize how much Melody really cares about her family. She looks at her family more as her friends, and I do the opposite where I see my friends more as my family. I thought it was something cool to subtly relate to and really made me think in general.

"I want to go" (pg 37) This is what Melody says, or rather taps whenever her parents add different bad things that could happen at camp. Melody says this over 10 times to get her point across and to not have to type it again and she says earlier when first discovering the camp and thinking about it in the library. This makes it an again and again moment for me.

"The coin didn't work" (pg 168) Why didn't it work? What are the coins used for if not for that? This brings on tough questions because why would there be a coin that looks like it should work but doesn't? And now how will Sam leave this place, I think this is the longest Sam has stayed in a different time than his own besides Egypt.

""But what about her? Does she agree"" (pg 150) This is a quote from Sam and his reaction to Yser's husband already being picked out for her. I noticed that Blatus does care about his daughter a lot and that's why she's arranging to marriage but doesn't know if she's okay with it yet. This is an AH-HA moment because I think it tells a lot about the time period in general and really shows that this is nothing like....

Now the title makes since. I had an AH-HA moment while reading because a special red book can tell you where someone or you is in time while using the time travelling machine. Which Sam referred to as the book of time. I still believe it's not a good title because so far the book revolves around the story of Sam trying to find his Dad and discovering a sort of time machine and instead the title provides a book.

From what I have most recently read I have discovered that Monk has a lot of anger issues but still can show respect and kindness despite being a big mean brute, showing he is not as stupid as I suspected. This brings on an AH-HA moment because it's something I previously didn't know.

It's now proven that the cousins Lily and Sam actually do like each other. In the beginning of the book Sam hated Lily and Lily hated Sam but now they actually care about each other despite being totally opposite people. This for me is an AH-HA moment because it proves that the biggest of enemies can still be good friends.

The high priest stated that his dad had told him that Sam would be coming to Egypt. How? I think this is a word of a wiser signpost even though it does bring on very tough questions because Senti seems like he was a very wise man and brought a lot of knowledge to his son. And now Sam was able to get help from Senti and his son by being provided the coin to get home.

Now Sam has arrived in Ancient Egypt and once again for the third time he can speak their language. He speaks the monks language, French in WW1 and now Ancient Egyptians talk. This for me is an AH-HA moment because I realize how important it is that he knows everyone's language because if he didn't he definitely wouldn't be able to get anywhere through time and probably would still be with the monks.
