Static vs. Dynamic: In this book Darren Shaw is the protagonist and he is in the category dynamic. Like when he joins the Cirques he goes through changes and he grows there. Darren's friend Steve is the opposite which means he is static. Steve never lets go of this grudge that he has which drives him crazy.

Inciting Incident: In this book Darren stole a spider from a freak show and brought it home. It was really fun and he even played with it. But something terrible happened when his friend came over. When his sister came into the room the spider bit his friend and he became deadly sick. Now he needs to go find a vampire to give him the cure or his friend dies.

5 Types of Conflict: I think that the conflict is Character vs. Character. I'm still early in the book so I don't know but the main character has some problems with others. Like when he had to fight for a ticket with his friends. It is still early in the book but I could predict a little Character vs. Society because the people at the circus.

Setting 4/8: The main 2 settings that where in the book so far was Alex's house and the Brompton Cemetery. First was Alex's house is where the book starts off and where he hears that his uncle died. Then it was the graveyard where the uncle was buried. There are also some other places like Burger King and the Bank but those are just some scenes.

Visualize: Many things that happen with this book is about food. Like the warm taste of bread or the juicy meat. Also there are scenes that happen that are really easy to visualize. Like when he was at the dark cold monkey exhibit. Or when they all went into the science class with a mutant rabbit. Many things you can see the character doing like running or bleeding.

CHARACTERIZATION: Coriolanus is the main character of the book and there are many things about his character that describes him. Like some of his actions are nice and sweet like how he gave everybody sandwiches. Also sometimes the reader can see that he is also a traumatized person through his thoughts. Finally the reader can learn more by the way that he speaks but it's mostly cheerful so that's kind of boring.

Point of View 3/11/24: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a 3rd person omniscient because the narrator mainly focuses on one person yet still knows what everyone else is felling and thinking. Like how the narrator told us about Lucy Gray's pain and sadness or the tribute's pain in the book.

2/20/24 In the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes many years before the hunger games their was a revolution against the Capitol. The Capitol won and made the Hunger Games where people send their children to die. So Snow in the book has to mentor of this lame kid so she can survive in the Hunger Games. Since he is a mentor he had to ride with the Children and made him fall into a monkey cage. That's where i'm in the book.

1/29: My book that i'm reading is "The Quest". Because Katniss really wants to kill president Snow and to avenge her sister Prim. So she goes threw all these obstacles to finally kill the right person to avenge her sister. So she had a quest to kill the person and she eventually achieved this.

1/22: The main support character is Gale and they are the main characters protector. Also Gale is the most relied on by the main character Katniss. On page 326 it says "Then Gale could shoot him from the audience". Showing that Katniss really needs Gale in this book.

1/8: Katniss from the book "Mockingjay" has a lot in common with me. Like the matter of fact that she would do anything to protect her sister and I also have a sister! Also, the districts in the book remind me of when the Chinese back in the day separated into districts. One last thing is that the book reminds me of Star Wars because of all the futuristic technology. That's how I'm making connections with the book.

In the Mockingjay I visualize how badly Katniss wants to kill President Snow because it says. "All that's left is my promise to kill Snow. I tell myself this ten times a day." I see that she really wants to kill Snow and wants to do it right away.

Characterization: Katniss is dark with what she thinks. She usually thinks about all the death and pain that has happen instead of the few good moments in her family. On page 22 it says "in the past two days, sixteen people have died" this shows that she rarely thinks about happy things and only dark dreadful things. Like when the people died in the arena and in their districts.

The antagonist in my book is President Snow. He is going against my character because he runs the capital and trying to kill Katniss. He is also a bad guy in the book because he kills lots of people.

Mocking-jay has 3 genres. Dystopia because the world is not right and the rules are worse. Science fiction because it takes place in the future with futuristic technology. Finally action/adventure because the main character has to go through problems that have a lot of action.

11/6 right good reads, The dynamic character is Katniss who has changed to most and is going threw life changing events with the Hunger Games going on. Gale is the static character because although he has some changes he still is not the center of everything and he doesn't really change of evolve.

Static vs. Dynamic Characters: For my book Katniss would be the Dynamic character. She is always going threw changes and is always in the big picture of everything. Peeta is the Static character for my book. Peeta is always around Katniss but doesn't really change that much.

Ask questions: I have a question about what will happen to Katniss. So far she has been falling apart and has been picked for the games again. She is also getting drunk too. On page 182 it says "It would be more convincing if I weren't still so hungover,". This shows that she is letting go of herself before she is put into a pit were you have to fight to the death.

The protagonist of my book is Katniss. She is very protective of her little sister Prim and is a great hunter. Others think that she is not that fun but she is very good with a bow and arrow. Katniss is also felling strongly because she is about to plan a rebellion. She also feels strongly about someone hurting her best friend. So overall she is a really good person and really skilled.

For the predictions of what might happen in the future. It has everything to do with Gale who is really good friends with Katniss. Gale really wanted to go into the forest and run away but he changes his mind and says "You leave then, I'm not going in a million years." This shows that Gale might do something that might do something bad and might get him hurt or worse.

I really enjoyed this fun and detailed book. The topic for this text is conflict and the type of conflict is character vs. character. It is mostly character vs. character because when Katniss is in the arena she is always fighting the other characters in the arena. Like when the other characters are fighting her she needed to fight her way out. Or when she has to fight with the other characters to get supplies.

The Hunger Games P.O.V or Point of View is a 3rd person omniscient. The example is that the narrator knows how everyone is felling like Katniss when she kissed Peta she had a warm felling inside. It is also 3rd person omniscient because they recognize everything that happens on the outside like the forest and explain it in great detail.

The hour that I have read was really exiting and full of action. Some examples is when Katniss goes to the feast. The feast is made so the last few people go and fight to the death. So it was very exiting because there were some close calls and some fighting to survive. There were also some not great parts like when Katniss's friend Rue dies by a spear and her last wish was for Katniss to sing.
