First sentence of the second paragraph and it’s game on. This is why I love Reacher books.

I’ve had this book on my “want to read” list for 8 years and finally found the book but sad to learn the author passed on a couple of years ago. But I am truly befuddled by the opening chapter. It was really depressing and uncalled for imo.

The binding is not well done. You have to really pull the page apart to read the entire words near the inside, meanwhile, there’s a good inch left on the outer margins

A few pages ago, he said his finances were in good order, but now all of a sudden he **needs** the money?? Which is it, Vance?

you might be thinking Wyoming would be a nice place to live…..but not if there are absolute psychos like this there 😬

King should really stick to his genre. He randomly brings home a woman who has been severely assaulted…instead of calling the cops, and turns out she knows what he did??? Come on with the ridiculous coincidences.

This is a first for me reading a Stephen King book. I am having a hard time getting through it. Hired hitman books should not be this dull and boring. There is nothing happening. WHY is the hitman taking all this time imbedding himself in the scenario? Just shoot the guy, move on and head to paradise with your cash payout.

Now this is an art book. One photo per page, taking up the page. The book is full of them. If only the book was larger format but it is already very thick so it would be unwieldy if it were much larger.

Boring so far. Is it going to go anywhere??

Been reading for 10 minutes and still getting through the introduction

This sentence has got to be an error:

“‘s why I said please.”

It makes no sense.

This book is driving me a little nutty with the lack of editting….way too much nonsense about things that don’t matter.

On N8s discard pile. Not a bad start.

This whole book is filled with some really knockout language. I am loving it. People don’t write like this anymore.

According to the receipt in the book I purchased it in 2010 from Coles on “Trillicum Road” for $2. It is my m.o. to pick up unpopular, eclectic books that don’t sell to the masses. It is why I miss Book Warehouse so dearly!

Hooboy this character is an arrogant B and I’m enjoying every bit of it

“America’s favourite writer.” Ugh. We’ll see how long I can stick with it. I’ve had 2 of the books in the series for years and finally started to read book one.
