Why is this book sooooo bad?!

I am already loving this book: the world building is so intriguing and how fervently I wish to learn about Valentine's identity.

A mix of Zelazny's Lord of Light and Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronciles, so far.

This is another classic Stephen King and somehow even better when you know the autobiographical background. That being said, it dives deeper into the human mind and family dynamics than the books before and I love reading it. 4.5 stars so far.

That is still the slow-burniest slow-burn that ever slow-burned... yet I still love it! Can't remember much of the story after the yellow brick road comment, but am intrigued.

I am on a roll. And Steve Kings older books are better than his never stuff, imho. In any case, 'salem's Lot is one of my favourites of his.

Upon re-read a 4.5 so far. Love the Shirley Jackson vibes of Haunting of Hill House and the small town charm. Plus, Steve King does write childhood just as well as Ray Bradbury!

Reading Carrie is a whole new experience with Stephen Kings introduction... 2.75 stars.

This feels mean, but 2 stars?! Honestly I only skimmed the last 30 pages... Not gonna continue in this series.

If this ever becomes a movie, I need Rosamund Pike to play Abby...

The stage is set, the lights are out.
Commence the carnage!

This feels like a Jurassic Park kinda setup.

And this, right here, is my problem with Romantasy: I would really love more world building and political intrigue, like Azrael's POV, but we get stuck on the romance... Other than that the story is faszinating so far.

"But sometimes I still see her. And I lock the door." - OMG! Love this book!

This could be my first 5 stars since April(!)

...

Way, way, way too many pop-culture references and not yet scary.

Stephen! No! That letter made me ugly cry.

Note to self: next time, read book 6 before book 5, in order NOT to disrupt the narrative

I still really love Stephen and Elizabeth, and Joyce and Ibrahim are a delight to hear from. This being said, the pairing most everyone up and all that sex/relationship talk, is too much for me.

So far not good. (Might be my brain function affected by a cold)

What a lovely twist.

Vol. 6 - 4 stars

What a showdown!

Vol. 5 - 3.5 stars

Vol. 4 - 3.5 stars, essential to the story

This book is already so much better than book 1! First of, Ibrahim is amazing, and ofc I love Elizabeth and Stephen... and listening to Joyce's joy in everything is making my world a happier place as well.
