Picked this up bc it feels appropriate for Halloween as a psychological horror but after reading the introduction, I’m realizing it is also a very appropriate to read this for a plethora of other reasons— the development of AI, the current Paris protests, the rise of trad wives. All of these issues are reflected in an 1818 text! I love Mary Shelley

Dude this is so epic

IM SO EXCITED AHHHH

One of the reasons im reading this so slow is bc I cannot read this before bed when I smoke. I cannot take these freaks and their peaches seriously when im high

Have to find a new copy at home bc I’m leaving Germany so might randomly switch editions next update

Last time I read this was grade 11. Curious how much I’ll understand lol. So far so good tho. The witches are so funny man

Neta decided this is what I’d read next

Not putting Naboth’s vineyard in Jezreel is definitely a choice

I can handle historical inaccuracies in historical fiction but the fact that she’s mentioned the city “Caesarea” multiple times is killing me. It’s a Roman city named after a ROMAN built 800 years after this story takes place. Romans didn’t even exist yet. It would be so easy to just replace Caesarea with another coastal city that actually existed during this time
