I know Sel is hurting but him treating Bree like that, pushing her away is so sad to me. She clearly wants to be friends, to be in good terms. But he just won’t let her in. He won’t let her past his “wall”.

They can talk to each other in dreams and memories just like in Percy Jackson. Cool! Nick is one of a kind honestly. An angel who came to be from a demon. Lord Davis should go to hell. They all should (Oder leaders). Now I get it. What Nick just said is the truth. There is nothing good about being a Scion. There is nothing good about being Legendborn. It’s awful and stupid and painful and sad.

I knew she would do it again and she DID! This author doesn’t fail to surprise me. I absolutely loved it when they rescued Bree. Gillian? Was definitely not expecting it.

Now I really hope that at the end she calls on Arthur’s strength and wisdom to tear the council apart for what they did to all of them: her, Sel, Nick… I hope they pay a VERY steep price for their actions. I hope she calls Arthur and let him teach her, because even though the Order’s council is shit I think Arthur is a pretty decent ghost.

Now with Bree, Nick and Sel locked up I wonder HOW the story will progress. I am so curious. I know this author will surprise me and impress me of course. But it’s so sad the turns it took. I won’t deny that I am sad and angry because I really thought Bree would be king. I thought she would rule. I thought things would change. But I guess that’s just not how it works. These books don’t sugarcoat anything.

“You are not a scion, you’re a mistake.” I’m registering this here for the very moment this man dies further down the line because I hope he does. And I hope that death is violent. Very violent.

I think I must be too innocent to think that Bree is overreacting. Her fighting Arthur? Sure. He’s a peach. Honestly. But her fighting the Order people? Totally reasonable. Nick fought too. He knew they only treat people well when they are under their control. Honestly the Cestra bitch saying she can’t date Nick? That she has to find someone else to “have fun with”? Ugh. Disgusting.

“Crown Scion” these people don’t care about anyone. Scion of Arthur or not, she’s a threat and they will try to contain her. Ridiculous honestly. I hate all of these people. All of them.

Not that I think the Order is right, but Bree is so stupid sometimes, so immature for the sake of “fighting for what’s right and resisting”.🙄 Even Sel knows she’s goddamn stupid.

I don’t like where this is going? She didn’t take the Oath, she turned against the table, the knights, Arthur… He never seemed mean to me? I don’t understand why Bree hates him? I don’t get it. I think he’s her inheritance too. Forced sure, but he claimed her as his own daughter and said he wished it hadn’t happened.

I can’t believe they really did arrest Sel 😭 And Bree can’t even do anything about it. I love SelBree so much (platonically I mean). I hope he’s out of prison soon. He doesn’t deserve half the things that happened to him in the first place. This boy ONLY suffers. It’s like that’s his whole role in this series.

The way I saw it coming 🥲 Sel doesn’t deserve this. Why the hell do they target his family like this? This Order, these people are so cruel and fake. They care about you in one minute, and the next when you aren’t important anymore, they act like you are nothing. You see, they cared so much about Nick when he was the Scion of Arthur. Now that he isn’t, it’s been one month and they don’t care he’s gone

I’m shocked. It was nick’s father all along. It was him. Him opening gates, him who locked Sel’s Mom away. Him making Sel suffer, him who made the uchel show up at the Oath ceremony. This nuts man is sending everyone to their deaths. This man needs to die. The storyline is SO clever though. Making us believe he was a good guy, making him defend Bree, making Sel seem bad… fantastic. I gotta give it to Tracy

Her mom knowing it all? That memory? Man that hit me hard. Her mom loved her so so much. 🥹 I’m glad she knows where her powers come from now!!!

I’m at the edge of my seat. My chest feels kinda tight. But it’s almost 1am and I need to go to work tomorrow morning, so this will wait. I’ll just lay here and shock and try to process everything I’ve just read.

My mouth has been ajar for over 10 minutes I suspect. I can’t believe the turns the book took. Sel’s Mom opened the gates. Sel’s mom was nuts. Sel had a crush on Nick. This is too much. My mouth is like this O while I write this.

“That’s probably why I fell in love with him,” took me off guard. This is NUTS! He actually liked Nick? Like the throuple thing wasn’t just a fan’s crazy fantasy, Sel actually liked Nick??? If they had something like ever made out or anything like that I’m going to throw up. I cannot believe this. I thought of them as brothers. This is crazy. But okay.

Honestly, Sel’s life is pretty sad. I thought Nick’s life was horrible (and it is), but Sel’s life… If the Order ends, what happens to him? I want him to have a happy ending so bad. He needs it.

I really like this book. Bree and Nick are so cute. I don’t know but I like her with Sel too though??? I don’t know what to do. I like both couples 😭 But I think Nick and Bree makes more sense

So much has happened in just 60% of the book. I’m so surprised. And Sel has grown on me a little. Nothing is easy for him in this world. Imagine being punched in the face like that and not being able to fight back? Imagine being humiliated like that? I’m sorry but I could taste his anger in that moment. Even if what he did to Bree was wrong. Idk.

Sel knew it the entire time. He knew she can resist Mesmer. He knew it all. Him cornering her in the graveyard? CRAZY! This whole sequence and exchange between them was so cool to see. I can’t believe I’m only 55% in and I still don’t understand sh1t about this book and somehow that doesn’t upset me like it did in glorious rivals. It actually makes me eager to find out whats going to happen. Good job Tracy.

Nick is a price, a king actually lol get it? Anyways. He’s so cute I can barely type without beaming. But his story? I’m so sad that happened to him. These people at this Order are awful. His mom didn’t deserve that. He didn’t. I really hope he can find a way to make her remember. The kiss though? Him asking permission in the first place? Omg. Peak chemistry these two. NickBree forever!

Nick Davis is wild for saying those things!!!! I wouldve died dead if a boy casually caught my hand and kissed my knuckles TWICE while telling me he’d be down to see if I can seduce him into bonding his life to mine forever!!!! How Bree is still alive is beyond me, especially with the boy at hand being NICK. As in blue eyes, blond hair, tall broad shoulders dimpled smile golden retriever NICK. Freaking lucky Bree.
