I’m shocked. It was nick’s father all along. It was him. Him opening gates, him who locked Sel’s Mom away. Him making Sel suffer, him who made the uchel show up at the Oath ceremony. This nuts man is sending everyone to their deaths. This man needs to die. The storyline is SO clever though. Making us believe he was a good guy, making him defend Bree, making Sel seem bad… fantastic. I gotta give it to Tracy

Her mom knowing it all? That memory? Man that hit me hard. Her mom loved her so so much. 🥹 I’m glad she knows where her powers come from now!!!

I’m at the edge of my seat. My chest feels kinda tight. But it’s almost 1am and I need to go to work tomorrow morning, so this will wait. I’ll just lay here and shock and try to process everything I’ve just read.

My mouth has been ajar for over 10 minutes I suspect. I can’t believe the turns the book took. Sel’s Mom opened the gates. Sel’s mom was nuts. Sel had a crush on Nick. This is too much. My mouth is like this O while I write this.

“That’s probably why I fell in love with him,” took me off guard. This is NUTS! He actually liked Nick? Like the throuple thing wasn’t just a fan’s crazy fantasy, Sel actually liked Nick??? If they had something like ever made out or anything like that I’m going to throw up. I cannot believe this. I thought of them as brothers. This is crazy. But okay.

Honestly, Sel’s life is pretty sad. I thought Nick’s life was horrible (and it is), but Sel’s life… If the Order ends, what happens to him? I want him to have a happy ending so bad. He needs it.

So much has happened in just 60% of the book. I’m so surprised. And Sel has grown on me a little. Nothing is easy for him in this world. Imagine being punched in the face like that and not being able to fight back? Imagine being humiliated like that? I’m sorry but I could taste his anger in that moment. Even if what he did to Bree was wrong. Idk.

Sel knew it the entire time. He knew she can resist Mesmer. He knew it all. Him cornering her in the graveyard? CRAZY! This whole sequence and exchange between them was so cool to see. I can’t believe I’m only 55% in and I still don’t understand sh1t about this book and somehow that doesn’t upset me like it did in glorious rivals. It actually makes me eager to find out whats going to happen. Good job Tracy.
