Not sure this one was for me… it was an amalgamation of writing styles with very little plot to support it. It felt more like an experiment in prose rather than a fully-fledged novel, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing? I can also tell the author enjoyed writing this, and there were parts where I enjoyed reading it, but on the whole it never truly clicked for me and I found myself having to plough through it :(

The final chapter of this book (plus epilogue) should be essential reading for every single person on earth and then i genuinely think we could achieve world peace

I thought this was about the animal kingdom as it is today but it actually covers the natural history of the earth and its so interesting to read about extinct animals and where different species today evolved from ☝️🤓💡

Just randomly had an entire chapter about gay sex in prison and the author was NOT shy on using slurs :)
