I take a melatonin gummy at night and read this book and then in my dreams I set really good boundaries

OH MY GOD can the previous person please be done with this already and return the audiobook so I can finish it before book club on April 9???!

It’s really nice that the hostess at the restaurant assumes the teacher is her dad. In real life, she would probably think it was her husband or boyfriend. Why do I say that? Because there have been at least three distinct times in my life where strangers have assumed my dad was my husband or boyfriend. Like guys…we look alike and he’s almost thirty years older than me. Why does this keep happening?

So far, I haven’t gotten a ton of information that I didn’t already know or that wasn’t in the HBO series. Maybe I just know too much about NXIVM idk.

I am extremely devastated

So I did not major in physics, right? But I did take a physics class for non-majors and my physics professor was a total space guy and I learned so much about cool space shit. Without knowing anything about this author, I can tell they know their shit. The main character’s discoveries are all in line with our most educated guesses about space shit. I keep pausing to go “damn yeah, this shit totally tracks.”

This book is so cool!!!!!

One of my favorite parts of this book is the literary references. The Poe reference is fairly obvious but no less important, and there’s also a quick reference to Viktor Frankl in Chapter 9. I’m willing to bet there are even more that I haven’t picked up on yet.
