I didn't think I'd like become emotionally attached to the characters feelings like this. I also feel like I'm reading this too fast to properly honor their stories. Though i suppose in war there wouldn't be time to mourn.

okay i get that we needed character growth but there really was nothing for them to grow off of bestieeeeeeeesssss this is chopppy. Also i know this is inspired by Zuko and Katara but its almost closely following Zuko's story. I wish there was a bit more diversity there

i keep pausing throughout this book because as soon as i become somewhat immersed in a scene – a sentence, something a character said, a reaction, etc. that feels out of place just rips me back out and I have to trudge through it.

Bellamy and Koraine need to have a more in depth argument. I need to see some angry quips back and forth between them.

So far, its giving YA novel writing. like idk what i expected but i guess from how big the font was (~12pt) I should've known
