Orlando realizing everyone is in a relationship and deciding to be in love with nature and then pretending to be dead to be found my a man and immediately getting engaged is the kind of hijinks I want to get up to. So silly goose.

A surprisingly cheeky adventure on the passage of time and literature in conjunction with life. Definitely feels like something I would have studied in an English course. The style is satirical and bouncy, which is a bit of fun.

Expected more from this. Poorly written, paced poorly, low key boring, and again getting into too many povs. I’m on a bad thriller streak and it’s making me sad.

I’m pretty sure I at minimum tear up once a chapter and make a knife to heart motion every other chapter. Frequency higher than the first book but I haven’t wept like I did for the first one in the series. And, I call that balance and also acknowledge there is still time for that. It’s so good in the most painful way.

Backman is just too good.

Last chapter, guess what… new pov. And guess what? Who did it was exactly who I expected. Author tried for such outlandish twists it became a simple circle. Great. Wasted my time. But, the audio book quality was really good I’ll say they did a stellar job. Just bad material. First Feeney for me and last for a long time.

Chapter 68 and a new pov dropped. Girl, we don’t need like 6 people fighting to be the main character.

I’m really ready to be done reading this and be done with all the people named after animals. The real animals are the only redeeming characters (looking at you Sunday).

sorry what do you mean you don’t recognize your ex wife after having multiple conversations. This is full of weird plot holes. And, it can’t seem to decide its genre. I’m not thinking this is good. It’s essentially fast fashion in book form. It’s relying on being trending and flashy.

Wyd it’s chapter 20 and you’re throwing in a new male pov? Still not really thinking this is worth my time. But, wasting my time anyway. So far, I’d say this is a 2/5.

It’s so hyped up, but I’m on chapter 4 and ready to dnf and just check a Google summary of what happens. Hoping it gets better because this is not the outcome I wanted!

Chapter one, mind you is two pages. And I’m all ready feeling. Backman is such a master at writing humanity.

I am SQUEALING he’s writing a letter with her in the room. So emotional he rushes out. Words better written than spoken. And then what he writes ?!? “I am half agony, half hope” the yearning. The beauty. Miss Austen you got me good with this one !!
