Ok, a section is about kneeling your audience and I think truly it boils down to it being for an audience of women of a certain age going through “the change” and needing a bookclub book. I see its appeal for the audience and would recommend for that. As not being in the audience, it’s like, fine.

Chapter 2 and ids giving meant for a disgruntled wives bookclub. Like, maybe get a divorce instead? Idk. Hoping it’s just exposition.

Not even through chapter one is this just supposed to be super tropes of men being the worst and women suffering because of it. It’s a little too on the nose? But, shout out to man (ew) getting got by a fungus.
