idk this book is SO highly rated but i’m SO BORED. the outcomes are interesting and the small amounts of plot developments are cool but they’re few and far between and the rest of it is just. DRAGGINGGG

Really into the idea of the book, and I liked that there was a kink disclaimer AND a trigger warning. Going to a regular romance first though, because I feel like I’ve had enough psychopathic MMC and dubious consent for a little while💀 it’s not easy to read LMAO

THIS SHIT IS SOOOO GOOOOOOOD i am listening to it on audiobook and. FUCK the writing was beautiful enough reading it but hearing it from the author herself is pretty enough to actually make me tear up. I love everything in this book and everything about it.

The ebook cover is SOO UGLYYYYYY the one on goodreads is better but genuinely almost kept me from reading the book. Not my normal read, i haven’t read a dark romance in a while and mafia romances in general are not my thing. I generally avoid them. But it was very highly recommended to me so i’m giving it a try!

picked this up at my local library. have a month to read it so excited to give it a try!

Picked this up bc it's been on my TBR for a while (though couldn't remember why) and it was on sale at Barnes and Noble. Come to find out it's a queer (LESBIAN) gothic horror????? I'm all for this I am so excited

As someone who is in academia and applying for grad schools, many of th lines in this book about academia and degrees are hitting way too close to home lmaoo. And I know Ali is speaking from the heart from her own degree, no one hates academia like academics

Past the first two trials and have three (?) more. Enjoying the action and it's a pretty fast paced read because of that, and Raihn is hot can't even lie. Mische is a lovely character and I think she'll end up either dead or evil but i'm rooting for her bc she's EVERYTHINGGG

one of my favorite booktubers said this was a good romance compared to another book that NEITHER of us liked so I have high hopes that this will be good<3

Don't know if Im going to finish this one. Going to try, bc I love the phantom, but there's too much mafia-rom in this romance that I wasn't expecting and don't love. I think it takes up a large part of the story that doesn't really need to be there. However, love the phantom and I'm enjoying the characters, so might pick it back up later.

Dark retelling of the phantom of the opera. Mafia side of it, which aren’t my favorite stories, but it makes sense. Scarlett (christine) has bipolar 1, based off the authors experiences, which is an interesting twist to the story. Jaime, her best friend, is another addition who I am loving (though the gay jokes are a lil wild lmaooo there’s already been 2)

Started reading from a recommendation by Shawn Mccomb. Have heard it's a pretty painful read and brings back the worst of middle school memories, so I'm excited. So far the writing is beautiful and has all the aspects of japanese literature that I crave so I'm ready

The submissive insecurities in this are hitting too close to home and idk how to feel about it but i kinda love it

Had this in my TBR for months, but I love femdom romances and always go back. This one I believe is a F/F/M which i wasn't expecting but I'm not against it as long as the M is the sub (which he is). It's longer than a lot of other romances that I've read lately but I'm hoping that just means more pining bc I love that shit.

I can relate to the characters in the book a lot when it comes to the fears of vulnerability. And I love a dominatrix character. I think though that the MMC isn’t my favorite, his reactions to things low key give me the ick but he’s cute and sweet enough for it to be forgiven. But hopefully I can finish it soon enough

Pretty quick and easy read, it's definitely. idk it's a weird vibe? It's hilarious and very comical, and I think the author knows it is so he doesn't take it too seriously; that being said, there was one specifically disturbing scene that was even almost too much for the MMC. Other than that I've been thoroughly enjoying it only because of how comical and funny it all is.

First thought-- the kindle cover is SO MUCH cuter than the cover on goodreads god damn I've been purely wanting to read this bc I hear it's fucked up but the cover is so cute I can't help but be a lil excited.

I do love a good serial killer and investigator romance. Liking it so far, loving the FMC

Definitely creepier than Playground, and more gross (the Slob is actually a nightmare). However, I HATE the MC girl. I think she's an idiot and could have literally avoided the entire situation by not being an idiot and using her brain ONCE at any moment leading to her getting napped. I don't victim blame, but in this instance, I lowkey am. He is a disgusting gross person but she could have entirely avoided it LMAOO

Okay, I'm kind of loving this. It's hooking me in, the characters are either lovable or sick and twisted (or, with Rock, a lil bit of both), and it's gross and disturbing without it ONLY being such (like a lot of gorey horror). The characters have personality, histories, the book shows their weaknesses while continuing to show the good sides of people (other than the main villain, who is just horrid and disgusting).

Heard this is a very gore-y and disturbing book. Idk how much I like the fact that all of the horror and torture involve children, but the plot seems interesting (a torture trap playground?), I've heard good things, and it was recommended to me by a friend who likes disturbing horror. Excited/scared to read.

I'm loving the characters and chemistry! It kinda seems like a story where all of the rich people are actually good with good causes and morals; seems more almost like a fantasy world or parallel earth than something that would really happen. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. I cant tell if it's a femdom book, but the man is Obsessed with the FMC (who is a badass) which is great.

This man is weird as hell. I enjoy that it's shorter bc otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished it (animal abuse is a deal-breaker for me most times), but the abuse is mostly hinted at/not shown directly, just mentioned, so I am able to continue reading so far. I do like the new FMC though and I have a feeling she won't have the best fate.

I guess I’m just not huge into the past lovers trope,,, I think I need to have more of the relationship building aspect. But everything else about it is cute. Quick reading, which I like.
