Heard this is a very gore-y and disturbing book. Idk how much I like the fact that all of the horror and torture involve children, but the plot seems interesting (a torture trap playground?), I've heard good things, and it was recommended to me by a friend who likes disturbing horror. Excited/scared to read.

Okay, I'm kind of loving this. It's hooking me in, the characters are either lovable or sick and twisted (or, with Rock, a lil bit of both), and it's gross and disturbing without it ONLY being such (like a lot of gorey horror). The characters have personality, histories, the book shows their weaknesses while continuing to show the good sides of people (other than the main villain, who is just horrid and disgusting).
