Ugh... definitely the biggest slump has hit... Not only has SFLM series makes me not pick up any book to read cuz i know none would fare with what i just read but also, audiobook-wise after completing Hitman 8, i have literally nothing to fill that void either.

Anyhoo... i’d just given 5⭐ for the characters previously and now this book has me side eyeing Leland becuz of his past?? 😭 Can i even be mad at a 16 y/o forced to kill a terrified innocent? Obviously lucas is the real monster and i’ve never blamed Leland for killing bad guys. But this blurs the line, doesn’t it?

i like Matt, he's an idiot. 😂 Man.. as someone who's seen what being on the business end of an "open" relationship does to a gay person, i definitely can feel for Cass. This is a very sanitised version of all that ofc. Matt to the rescue! 😛

Also, dunno who is represented in the book cover since neither of the men look like that. They're buff, sure. But both have a good head of hair.

Guess who's back to this old gem? :D And this time as audiobook! Man, genuinely both Val & Marshall just work so well together. That easy care Marsh has for Val. Then Val's mental tether/anchor of safety that he finds in Marsh.

And the hate sex. i mean, come on (oops!) it's just so good! (oops again 😏)

Man this slump hit hard. 😭 After Break Me Daddy, i wanna read more like than. i feel like nothing but a few of my old favs can match up to that. 😭😭

It feels sooo good to finally listen to it! Conan does that scene so well like, OMG!! The hate sex is just one of the best. On par with EWB or.. OR... maybe even better?

Reading one of my all time fav books. And this time i notice just how oblivious Nuri is all while Silver has had his heart on his sleeve. We have instances where it was always clear (even in Nuri's pov) that Silver actually gave a shit about him.

There's quite a few clues too as to who was behind the alleged leaks. Like the clues were all there and easy to pick up on a reread.

Oh.. you big softy, you! 🥺 It's another baby boy's book! It's Karsyn!! And he rightfully pairs up with Claude. ♥ But also, this means a full book with Michael Ferraiuolo speaking with a Russian accent! 💋

This is a very, very good book and so i immediately picked it up as ebook as audiobook narration is atrocious. i will give up on everything else and read it up as soon as possible.

The narrator's voice is nasally, there's no characterisation, no range and they can't portray snarky attitude at all. They had the same problem for another book (one of my fav) wch i had to dnf the audiobook of.

But they spend so little time together and there's weeks of time jumps at a time.

One of my fav books is narrated by Nick J Russo?! And the way he portrays Corey is exactly how i imagined.

Such a disappointing book so far. Never lost interest this fast. But given this is one of my fav author, i'll continue trudging on.

i told ya i would pick this up as ebook! It's cuz Ford is my fav character from this series and Ford & Jay are my fav couple here. None of the others worked for me, except them.
i'm so sad that this is the one time Mike's voicing didn't work. This is actual Ford, so why would you give him a deep gruff voice? 😭

So far it's very good. But not one of my favs. Probably bcuz of too many characters here? But im still enjoying this a lot!

There was no need to include an on page MF sex. Just zero need. But then again, this is hazard. That's to be expected. i'm simply hate reading this bcuz it has a very particular trope i've been searching for and unfortunately haven't come across in any book and so i'm out of options but i really also want to read about that trope in a book.

This is such an incredibly depressing story. Oh my Alwin... i mean, it's an AM Rose book, so that is to be expected, right?? But still man.. that one little froggy man, i tell you, he's one of those literary characters that have had a deep impact in me.

And i rarely say that, and have a few of them actually. But i know this will be one of those books that'll stay with me long after i've read it.

Oh why is this book making me cry this early already?!! 😭😭 Poor Alwin's circumstance is most unfortunate and reading about his talks with the froggy fwends was both cute and devastating! 😭
