Had a mental and physical break down when it dawned on me that the fatigue and body aches with severe mental crash out I had is: "burnout." Being a first responder is rough. Not because of the things we see, but because of all the bullshit we also have to deal with when we've been running for 22+ hours straight with no sleep. It's taken a toll of my mental health and motivation to clean or read.

Final stretch! God I love them! Better ending than I expected! It all worked out! That sigh of relief and welling of tears in my eyes from happiness!

Just read the family tree... And I'm confused. Zhang Biling is Zhou Xu's mom, and her grandfather is Wen Shi's disciple that died at the beginning of the story... So who's his parents??
Zhang Yanshan had two kids, which are still alive "today." His niece is Xie Wen's rebel mom that died the same as Yanshan.
Snailing... Telling myself it's okay, this is why it's called a slow read. Lol

The mental gymnastics and the emotional roller coaster I have had in the last 50 pages is insane! I have been gaslighted and deceived by every character in this novel! I don't even know what is real anymore!

I wrote 5 sticky notes full of thoughts on why Yun Yu sucks and Tongyi is better for Prince Huai. Ugh! I really wanna punch Yun Yu in the throat. One of the reasons:
He's such a selfish POS and has never asked Prince Huai what he wants. He used him for his own gain and used Prince Huai's feelings against him.
Tongyi has always shown respect and never followed the trend of degrading Huai.
