It's already pretty easy to see why this is beloved.

Lot of lore dropping that will take some getting used to. I'm slow on the pick up but this is Brandon at his finest.

There's a lot to take in. Suppose this is what it means by epic fantasy. The magic is already cool, there's a lot revealed we need to discover and I can already guess most of this is framed to be flipped on its head lol.

Buddy reading with an irl friend where we plan to go a chapter at a time. We'll discuss each one and the read another > discuss > chapter > repeat.

I'm looking forward to it!

Bruh, Goodreads has a massive problem with fake accounts...

Today's the day I will go get this behemoth and buddy read it with a good friend of mine. We are going to reach chapters at the same pace, hoping it'll be fun!

It's immediately apparent what separates good, entertaining literature from...the rest. Genre doesn't matter as within one chapter I'm met with a compelling premise delivered with well enough in the written form that I can immediately see why it's in the works for a film.

Finally found something worth sinking my teeth into, cheers people!

Bruh, what's up with the fake accounts on this site...

I found myself thinking "this sounds like a YA novel" which was a thought I didn't think too much of until I saw 'YA writing'. Is it bad? No. Is it boring? Slightly. Is it painful? Yes.

I intended to treat this as a Star Wars novel, still do, except the writing felt off. Lo and behold, I remember the section I grabbed this in. Will be grabbing Scythe later down the line. My hopes here are dashed. Sorry Episode VI.

Just for a love of the game. Bought this at a used game store in the bargain bin about a year ago xD

I was hesitant to add this to Goodreads, because...Well, it just doesn't feel up for critique when I know there's a master behind it, ha! My reason for listing this is visiblity. This novel should be picked up if you're interested. Sadhguru is a master with precocious insight and there's not much else for me to say, he's alive and his words breathe. *nod*

Credit it where it's due, I enjoy John's writing. I just find some of the generalities boring for me. Granted we're not too far in the novel, I feel like it's a slow burn, which has its own charm, but I'm tempted to skim.

The thrill of the hunt from the first novel was what got me on this series, but if I drudge up the memories I think I felt the same way in the beginning. Here's to hopin` for the kick.

Terry's wordplay, the whimsicality of time, and the true magic of humor make this novel thoroughly enjoyable. It's so humanely relatable and clever I can't help smile after certain tangents about time - the way it works, the way it FEELS it works and how it all settles either way.
