dudeeee this book is so good! still early but it’s a nice switch up for me. i’ve been playing around with tense a lot and tbh is book is reminding me how much power u get with first person. mc is entertainingly insaneee and also i love that she’s post grad in nyc/black w a questionable sexual history like ok twin

definitely a bit long so i’m reading it somewhat slowly, always nice when i pick it up tho— it’s been maybe 2 wks. i love ivan but he’s annoying the shit out of mec naomi is real asfk, can’t form a solid opinion on peter, and wish him and sylvia could just be happy together☹️ as usual rooney does it for me every.single.time. —->

commendable that she’s able to evoke the feeling of walking on egg shells/anticipating absolutely everything but holy fuck this is like excruciating to read. i’m ready to be done. beautifully written though.

i’m so annoyed that i might have to shut the book lol maybe this is a sign of growth

bc apparently i like watching car crashes. everyone says ‘show don’t tell’ which i’ve always struggled with,, i think nolan does a good job of both.

enjoying the political commentary. part of me thinks alice asking felix to go to rome makes 0 sense tho,, not j bc they don’t know eachother at all but more so bc hes kind of a dick thus far? but then again real? reminds me of that satc quote ‘this would’ve been cute when u were 25’ im sure he’ll obtain some redeeming qualities (certainly not enough bc it’s sally rooney) but rn im not sold. real tho…

this book is a callout in SO MANY WAYS. i have no words

this is painful. but not in a bad way. the friendship in this book is so refreshing though :D

i’m already obsessed

marianne and connell have got to be the most mutually frustrating yet weirdly likable people in the entire world

love it so far. has me cheesing and giggling. i refuse to settle for anything less than elliott
