i’m so excited to read this :)

i’m digging this so far

soooooo good so far. LOVE this writing style

“somehow, we always seem to blame the patient for noncompliance, rather than blaming the structures of the social order that make compliance more difficult.”

yup. mic drop.

i am LOVING the audiobook version of this so far. Def a comfort book of mine

i think i’m obsessed with this book

the voice in her head is a little annoying but i think that’s the point ? hoping that’s the point

ugh the relationship she has with her mom so far 🥹❤️

this book makes me wanna smack the main character on the head. dense and unlikeable. not a mega fan of the writing either- uses a lot of the same similes “sharp as a scalpel” and descriptors “aggressive air conditioning”. i also don’t love how the author has the main character denying the plausibility for the same reason over and over “he’s a pEdiAtRiC SuRgEoN”.. ok and..? hoping it gets better :)

a little slow so far but i think that’s the point. like the dual timeline 😌 hoping to finish by tomorrow
