172-184 I like it a lot; more going on than Ichigo or Chad, but it seems a little cracked to have a healing ability. I wonder how many times we will see the individual fairies. If the manga was about Orihime, I could see it, but it's about stinky Ichigo.

150 I don't like it. The emotion detailed in Chizuru is so scared and hurt. Those tears have welled up in my own eyes many times.
153-159 Everything about this fight seems much more brutal than others. The seeds look like they hurt so much, and having them control your muscles makes it look even worse.
166 This is a cute little doodle to make up for the pain drawn before.

113 Hat N' Clogs has more to say, making me think he was just talking about the crowd and the Hollow.
115-118 Don and Hat N' both seem to think Ichigo's choice to move the Hollow was ultra-noble, and not basic tactics? Are Hollows that dangerous?

Chapter 30
94-97 It's so cool seeing a Hollow get made. And seeing it before the mask is insane.
104 These glimpses of what the other spiritually attuned children see are so neat. I feel like they get a better glimpse every time they're around spirits.
105 What could hat n' clogs mean here? Is it just the Hollow forming? Or soemthing else?

Chapter 27
27 I can see a lot of early fandom stuff in Bleach, like showing random heights and ages, and birthdays.
32-33 Yuzu and Dad have a weird idolation of the phycic, given that Karin and Ichigo can just do what he does easy. But I like that the spiritual world is bleeding more into the real one all the time.
35-40 I love seeing the school kids being kids and being silly. It was missing from JJK.

Chapter 26
10-13 I am sad that they treat Kon like this. Don't they see the humanity in him? Please be nice.
14-17 Not a fan of the boob jokes. Especially as it's been established that all of the classmates are 15 years old.
17-19 I love the girl group, just seeing the classmates exist outside of school is so charming.

22 Maybe they were right to beat Kon.

Chapter 25
168-169 I'm glad we understand just a little more about how damage works for the soul reaper.
178-183 Finally, some good fathering is happening. It's coated in a bunch of bullshit, but it gave Ichigo some good resolve.
184-185 These hollows look vaguely human. I wonder if they are soul reapers or something else entirely.

Chapter 24 (Part 2)
162-163 I hate this dad so much. He boils my damn blood, I swear. No care for Ichigo, no wonder Ichigo has no care for himself.

150-151 What the fuck is happening with Orihime, she's just 15, when was she evicted?
151-153 I don't like how much Orihime does things alone. I worry for her.
158 I hate that Ichigo just expects Rukia to know what he means. I feel for her so much as my high-functioning autist queen. How was she supposed to know he didn't mean that shit and not have a mental crisis?

Chapter 23
134-141 There's something big that's keeping Rukia from rushing in to help Ichigo, but we don't know who/what that is. But it seems crippling for her normal self.

Chapter 22
116-122 I'm glad Ichigo is meeting his match pretty early. He may have a lot of spiritual energy, but he's just shit at fighting Hollows. I think Rukia may be letting him on his own too much.
124-125 I think Karin is finally going to remember something about the Hollows.
127 I don't ever think a move like this would work on me. I always think I could mental through tricks like this.

Chapter 21
98-107 I think the circumstances around Ichigo's mother's death are supposed to make me feel his same rage, but the feeling feels muted. Like it isn't being shown well enough in the action to convey it. All Ichigo can really do is "Big Swing," and that's kinda what he always does.

Chapter 20
66 I think we gotta kill this dad, team.
74-76 I love Rukia after reflection. She feels so high-functioning autist, I swear I do this all the time. Messing up, then reflecting on it.
78-82 I think at this point they should let the sisters remember about hollows. The second time they've almost died to them its a wonder this hasn't happened more often. Maybe it has, and no one remembers.

Chapter 19
47-49 Glad to see Rukia is reflecting on herself. I think the latter parts of this Vol. kind of lessen this emotional beat. She should learn to see the real physical world, rather than just thinking about souls.
55 I need to have words with this Dad, like setting up his whole family for trauma.
60-61 I think the emotional fall out of these characters to thiewr mother dying is really well done

Chapter 18
31-32 I wonder why Ichigo's Dad is so unserious. It must have something to do with his wife's passing.
33-35 I would be so mad at Rukia, not kidding, I would tell her to leave.
41-42 This is the most haunting image of all time. He was nine, where was hsi fuckin Dad. I feel awful.

Chapter 17
13 Boo, this gross anime perv stuff is here. Kon, I thought you were cool.
19 Orihime is the best character in the whole manga
21-23 This whole thing is so, daungthing. Great use of empty space to hold a kind of stillness in the air. Seeing Karin and Yuzu sleep together the night before makes me well up.
22-25 The hash shading on everything in this chapter sets the whole volume up so well.
