I’ve been missing Quaid and Aslan lately, so a re-read was definitely in order. The first time around, I read them on my Kindle. This time, I grabbed the whole series during an Audible sale, which means I get to listen to one of my favourite narrators, Nick J. Russo. Imagine my surprise when I updated Goodreads and realized I’m starting this re-read exactly one year later to the day. It was fate!

Audiobook has finally been released, time for a re”read”. I could seriously listen to Michael Ferraiuolo read the dictionary and be happy.

Time of death: 28%. As much as I love Nick Russo and can normally listen to anything he narrates, I just cannot continue. I do not like either of the MCs. Rus and Cal are both immature, and their bickering is grating on my last nerve. Normally, I would persevere because I hate not finishing, but I’m starting to realise life is too short, so I’ll be cutting my losses here.

I know we’re all impatient for the twins to find their HEA, but up first it’s time for Rami. Can’t wait.

Doing a reread along side book bestie as she listens to it for the first time.

I always listen to a few chapters before bed, but listening to these was a terrible mistake. The fear I felt for our MC was so real. Of course, I knew he had plot armour—but that didn't stop my brain from being convinced he wouldn't make it out in one piece. Either his body or his mind was bound to break. Needless to say, I gave up on sleeping and stayed up far too late.

Didn’t plan on doing a reread but book bestie is listening to it for the first time and I couldn’t resist picking it back up.

I’ve put this off for as long as I can… the last book in this brilliant series. 🥺 Is it terrible that I’m already feeling that post series sadness that I know is going to hit me hard? I’m going to miss Cooper and Oliver so much.

Buddy read with Mikuwashi, a chapter a day together. Book one for August, two in September and three in October.

I seriously can’t put this down. Fell asleep reading at 1am, woke up at 5:30am and immediately picked it back up. I’m not usually a fan of slow burns but I am eating this up. I love them so much.
