One of my biggest pet peeves is when authors use modern curse words in fantasy books. And this author uses it quite often.

I hate that I love it

It’s gotten slightly better

This is truly one of the worst written books I’ve ever read. I wanna know how it ends, which is why I’m going to keep reading, but 🫣

The 10 year delay in getting this last book out better mean that the author came to her senses and will give us Cassius as endgame

Marking plot issue: in the first book, she told the group she left behind her mom in Pavan. In this book Locke says he thought she was orphaned

Idk if it’s a good start to be “eugh”-ing already at Locke

Roar has to be the cringiest name ever. But also if she says, “I thought I could leave Aurora behind and become roar” or any variation thereof one more time I might throw this book off my deck

The most unbelievable part about all of these fantasies is when a girl who hasn’t had much training or like just swordfights can run for a long period of time and keep up with somebody who has done this for most of their life and also have a full-blown conversation.

Like girl, I know you’re dying. It’s OK to say they were breathing hard.

I have never loved and then DESPISED an FMC’s choices so fast in my life. She better get her head back on straight.

I am very much enjoying this book. It is totally not like any book I’ve read before and it’s fucking weird. I love it.
