It was labeled as historical fantasy/fiction… and for some reason, this put me off and the only thing I note that is historical is the time it is set in so far it’s very enjoyable, and have a whimsical feeling with some grey English moodiness… it does me a bit of Miss Peregrine’s vibes and I LOVED those books.

This book has so much more depth and I enjoy the actual plot so much better then when they are constantly b*ning each other…. I like spice - but it just doesn’t contribute to the plot and they’re just little horn dogs.

550 pages - and yet, I’m still enthralled, not bored, and I don’t find anything dragged out. I did however - find out I was right about a theory :)
