You'd think with me being on the 6th book, I would be used to this, but I still say wtf at least twice each book

Book Howl is a bit of a dick. He's nicer in the movie. I don't know if it's a change the movie decided to do or if he gets nicer and the movie didn't have time for the character growth.

This might be the end of my reread for this series. It's the last book I read in series, and I don't remember it as well as the others, but I think it ends at a good conclusion for me. I'm found rereading old series fun. I might do percy jackson or eragon as my next rereads.

I've been putting off reading this because I love the movie so much, and I was worried I wouldn't like it. But besides seeing the differences, I've really like it so far.

As a concept, it sounded interesting, but I'm 50% in, and like nothing has happened, we moved from place to another and now on the way to another. We hate one king. Why? Not sure there's a queen we want her on our side because of her army. What we need it for, not sure. there's godlings, sirens, and I think mages? Like the world building is not there, and the characters are not interesting enough to save it.

It literally feels like nothing is happening and kind of feels like we're just setting everything up for a series

I'm not minding the story, and I find the world pretty interesting, but every character is too much and everyone is overly using bad words and talking "tough" and I've rolled my eyes too many times at this point. I'm going to give it to the end of the day, but there's a good chance this is going to be a dnf.

I'm mostly liking this, but the main character is a bit too cringey and bratty for me... I'm hoping the plot gets plotting

So the world is flooded, and people live in these really tall skyscrapers, and floors 32 and under are underwater, and basically, the lower your class, the lower the floor you live on. You can only move up or down a floor if your situation changes, but all my brain can think wouldn't incest eventually effect the human race if you can't leave your floor.

First book I was like pirates? They're smugglers at best, this one I'm oh I see why people say pirates.

It is a shorter book, but it's been a hot minute since the last time I flew through a book like this. I can't believe I'm already halfway through.

This is due back to the library, and I still have about 350 pages left and rather then try to force myself to finish this in less 24 hrs I think I'm just going to soft dnf for now and check this back out closer to the next book release.

I don't know how I feel about this one. There are 3 out 6 povs I like read from, and the rest are just ok. I feel like some of these characters could have stayed a side character. I don't hate them, but it's making the story feel over stuffed with things that don't matter, and it's causing the plot to drag. I'm over 200 pages in, and not much has changed since I started it.

Maybe I went into this thinking it would be as good as dungeon crawler carl, but it wasn't. Cool concept and idea, but I was bored, and every character gave me the ick. My favorite part of his other series is the character development, and in this one, every character felt 1 noted. Plus, oliver relationship with his sister was weird, and the best friend was weird and icky. Not for me.

Ummm I feel like it's one thing for a brother to be supportive of their sister's "side" job and her making extra money. But I think it's really weird that he was comfortable going into her streaming room and seeing her sex toys. Idk
