Starting my reread so I'm ready for the movie.

So far, it's been pretty fun. I like that it's just starts off right into the action. It's a little dude/bro humor, but it's pretty self-aware of that fact.

I love me fantasy curse words they always fun. But there is just something about reading titan's taint that gets me every time 🤣

If this book is fantasy sherlock holmes, then this is them getting their version of Moriarty. Man sounds crazy smart like Ana and a little crazy

A little novella to get me back in this world because I need to read the 3rd book, but I don't super remember where we're at

Not me spending 15 minutes trying to match up the map in the book to a country in our world because I all of sudden get this crazy idea it not a fantasy world and its the real world set super in the future after leviathans took over. (There is no evidence to support this theory 🤣)

I was really eating this up for a minute, but now it's kinda getting repetitive, and the plot is not progressing like it's in the same spot we were over 200 pages ago. I'm going to try and finish, but I'm not sure I'm going to move on to the next book unless this ending really saves it

Well, now they keep referring to the original series, and now I'm interested, but I've already been spoiled enough, plus I'm kinda committed to this one so idk maybe I'll read the original later and treat it like a prequel

Possibly a soft dnf, but this was way more cozy and slower than I thought it was going to be, and I thought the mystery of it would keep me interested, but I'm not. Maybe I'll try it again when I'm more in the mood for something like this

I need this world to start explaining how it works more There's mushroom air conditioning, glow worm lanterns, giant sea walls that keep out leviathans, and crackle-men that have been grafted to grow more muscle and have extra bones added to their body and the main character has tiny beasts that swim in his brain so he can't forget anything and much more it's a lot and it's very much a book you just go with it

So far, it's giving sherlock homes set in a fantasy worlds

Yup, dnf this book is not for me he called her a creature, his victim, and his prey all within like 2 pages after he broke into her room was being an absolute weirdo. To be honest, I was trying to be better about my dnfs this year and pushed on when I should have dnfed when the main character caught a different creepy guy sucking on a dead girl's breast.
