Feels like the start of a roller coaster, you’re just waiting to reach the peak and the drop. Not a complaint, it’s great prose. I have zero idea what to expect so I’m optimistic.

At times, it feels like I’m reading a stage play, at times the writing finds a steady compelling groove. Other times, it feels like I’m reading Charles Dickens getting paid by the word hence the sheer volume of words. This work is at its best when there are those snippets of dialogue because the pace is delightful. Hopefully more of that to follow.

This book kinda fire so far. The short chapters make it easy to read even when I’m busy.

Really ended up enjoying this one.

It’s been fun reading this one and taking my time with it.

I like some of the descriptions Arnott does. It’s a very scenic kind of novel. Not a whole lot has happened yet.
