Great start to a new series. Glad SK is back! A little short for a first book where the world must be built, so the development of the characters is under done. Looking forward to the next book. 4 stars.

Better than the first. The storyline is interesting. The MCs are becoming more likeable as their relationship develops. 3+ stars.

Typical KR storyline. People meet, then 20 years later they rekindle their romance. And they remember tht kiss. Really? Quick, predictable read. 2.5 stars.

Took a while to get through. Very detailed. A lot to process. A coherent roadmap would be helpful, especially to get started. A bit preachy at the end, but a lot of good concepts. 4+ stars.

The author did a poor job of bringing the reader up to date from the previous book. There were references to things I could not remember. The book was way too long and repetitive. Took a while to get interesting. 3 stars is generous.

New to me author. I liked the characters, but hate when supposedly smart people do dumb things to create a storyline. A SEAL would terminate the threat, not have conversations with them nor turn his back to them. Weak, lazy writing. I may read the next book in the series. 3 stars.

So-so. The first lust connection was not realistic at all. MFC jumps into bed with a stranger after her father is killed, she's freezing and someone is trying to kill her. Really? And did the bad guy have to be black? The ending was unbelievable. 2 stars.
