So after about 68% of the book, I was waiting, WAITING, for the sadness. Like, the REALLY SADNESS. No one close to the characters has died yet. People had been taken and missing, but NO ONE HAD DIED YET. But goddamnit, then it happened. AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I’ve bawled my eyes out twice now. And I’m just waiting for the rest of the book to destroy me. Can’t wait.
