Not everything in this chamber of curiosities is bad. The text has its moments - even if not often so far.

Huh? The foreword was wayyyy better than the text itself. I can't get into it at all, and the author's elitist demeanor—plus her (subtle) bragging about just how educated she is—really gets on my nerves.

The story has strong 'Catcher in the Rye' vibes and I don't know if I like it or not. Maybe I'm just too old for YA novels, but I'll finish it.
