Not everything in this chamber of curiosities is bad. The text has its moments - even if not often so far.

Huh? The foreword was wayyyy better than the text itself. I can't get into it at all, and the author's elitist demeanor—plus her (subtle) bragging about just how educated she is—really gets on my nerves.
