I’m ready for my twitter timeline to be gifs of Rebecca Hall “Violet Bridgerton style” only, also still wondering are they keeping Morgan Spector’s dragon tattoo!!!

I know I'm just starting too many books at once, and maybe it's worth it, because this is so good!!! This is up there with the best of Edouard Louis!!! The last two I had read, I had enjoyed and not absolutely loved like the first ones I read, but this one is so excellent!!!

Putting a break on this book, since it's not working for me right now... I'm very particular about historical fiction, and I'm not in the mood. I thought being pirates, and a pirate I know, would make it good!!! Also now need a new book for the magical readathon with punctuation in the title!!!

The reference to "The Men Who Stare at Goats" (2009) as a reference to this kind of science really doesn't bode well, because I don't remember liking this movie... I know London is a big city and the kids don't know the city, so I'm not questioning their specific worry... but I do find it weird that they think people would find it strange to see three 12 year old kids walking around without parents, that seems like such a weird concept to them... Like that's a normal age for kids to go places on their own!!

I could be reading this wrong, bc I don't know much about ideals in Mozambique. But finding interesting how she reacts about her husband's lover being a bit chubby - it's not about her looks at all, but it's the immediate thought that she's being well fed because of her husband's money!!! After watching the Odyssey, I had to finally order this on Vinted!!! I was a bit on the fence, bc The Silence of the Girls annoyed me bc of the men povs, and I thought I would be safe with this title… but nooo!!! It starts with the men in the Trojan worse 😫😫 though it does fit with Nolan’s description very well!!!

I was expecting the dance to be the final ending of the book, and I like when it's not and books/stories play with expected tropes!!

I really like the father-daughter relationship in this book, rebuilding this relationship and her seeing something in common with him!!!

I LOVE the book going into the details of playing D&D, the one time I almost played, I got too overwhelmed looking at a character sheet... and the performance part makes me anxious, but I want to play!!!

Also Riley being surprised at her dad always being so supportive of her love for theater and music, and it's just your dad is a nerd who loves D&D & board games, of course he understands her loving theater!!!

I've been missing reading a fandom romance for awhile, my earlier plan was "Two Can Play" by Ali Hazelwood, and then a friend read it and said it was not worth it, and lent me this one instead!!!

Also work is work, but the guy is so right that as work goes working in a game shop would be wanted by a lot of people... sales is not an easy job, but working surrounded by things you love makes things easier!!!
