Man… I just finished the “Lost in New York” chapter (4) there’s something quite heavy how Sienna and Miriam break down how extreme loss is being presented in Jasmine’s character. Like her artistic soul has been zapped out of her and the cracks are showing and she’s a “reduced” version of who she should be.

Why would Goodreads get rid of the private message feature ? Another point of connection for book worms and opportunity to connect better. Oh yeah, sounds horrific.

I can sense my brain pushing me to read the Bloomtown books again very very very soon

The way I can’t even update y’all on this book the way I want; every single chapter is a damn trigger warning but it’s soooo good.
I’d imagine a little different to read if you’re not British, it’s a totally different writing style but I’m smitten with it. Snappy, rude and twisted but can’t deny the trauma bonds being solidified here in book 2.

This is pretty dark and a really good read but I’m getting annoyed that I can’t see which way it will go this far in. I’m aware there’s a cliff hanger at the end but even so… this so call straight girl could end up with any and possibly all 3 of the main characters which is its own kind of twisted. If you like a quick solution, this ain’t for you.

I’m need a book that ROCKS me coming into the new year. The ones that immediately come to mind are Charon Docks at Daylight, Hearing Red and The Unfinished Line. So IYKYK…Now, there’s books like The Grace Notes trilogy that I’ve actually re-read and love but too light-hearted for this request. What I’m wanting is plot that GRIPS me and the MCs connection is POWERFUL. Suggestions??

I’m not sold on the story. The love and loyalty Sam is displaying for an education institution that has such a troubled history. Yes, it has come a long way in the present tense of the book but there’s so many members of that board alone that represent the historical ties. The teachers are mostly useless but the students are worth fighting for, I guess. I’m a fan of Madelene Nox tho!

My patience for “Under the Table” by Adrian J. Smith- due to be released 5th of November- is actually wearing thin. I’m normally very good at waiting for a release (absolutely zero pun intended) but the fact that I signed up to her weekly newsletters and have had these short ‘exclusive’ chapters of Angelica’s and Hope’s “in-between moments” has seemly made the waiting worse 😵‍💫

Probably gonna take forever to finish and I’ll use it to keep my steak alive on days where I don’t read (hardly ever) but it’s actually great for highlighting possible books for future read based on the authors favourite scenes, all hand picked!

It’s not a romance, it’s a love story.
The is the opening statement of the book and it sticks with me on every single page. Damn this is good. Straight hooked!

I’m already enjoying the premise and see the potential. But A) it’s almost too descriptive about everrrything and B) why is there another woman that smells of lavender. It’s genuinely annoying to me when one of our MCs has a lavender scent, like seriously, what’s up with that?

Not sure if I like this but it’s certainly intriguing. Angelica, with her ironic name, is sharp at the edges; approach with caution and at your own risk is the general idea. I’m kind of hooked to see what her next outburst will be and whose head might roll. Hope, on the other hand I feel a bit confused by. She’s a business woman in her own right but her behaviour is so incredibly soft for her industry so idk

Heading to the 3-4* direction. Book 1 was just too good. Tough to contend

Can’t help but feel like something big is hiding behind the story of the experiments’ purpose. I’ll actually be so disappointed if this ends as just a girl meets girl in a strange situation type book. The potential for some drama is poised and waiting

I’m already disappointed because it has such great reviews and then I see the “99 pages” in the bottom left hand corner. A book with such high praise needs to be LONGER. I’ll finish this in a few hours.
