Is it possible to get large book fatigue? This book is so good, but I'm starting to get tired of reading it lol. Ready for it to end.

Did not realize how much my ability to follow the story was contingent on different groups being in different locations. Now that everything is happening in Capustan, I suddenly can't keep track of anything or anyone. 😵‍💫

I'm going to put this on pause. I didn't realize the sequels were chonking books, and I only have room in my brain for one of those kind of series right now.

Just when I think this story can't get anymore interesting, it just... Does.

This book is so brutal. Also, very interested to finally get another POV. Though the implications are terrifying.

Interesting foundational lore. But so far it is very generic. Already finding myself skimming through the trope-y "coming of age trial". Wondering which route the story will take next.. will the young hero's village be attacked? His family killed? And will the bully attack him during the coming of age trial, seeking revenge for the hero's pet attacking him that night before? I feel like I've read this before.

This book is so much fun.

Only 225 pages in, and I'm already almost at my heavy-handed Catholic-allegory limit. This is going to take a while.

Wow. Hell of an opener.

Fuck this book is good. Usually I can't stand "lost and wandering" storylines, but Erikson drags it out just enough to give a proper sense of desperation, without it just becoming boring to read.
