In true Steven Erikson fashion, the second I complain about the pacing, it gets turned up to 11. Good grief.

The Letheras plot is SUCH A SLOG. Why is this happening? Why did he write this? My eyes are starting to glaze over any time Bugg is the POV. Kettle is still interesting, though. And I'm all in with the Tiste Edur plot. But the Bugg plot.. WHY.

I am kinda torn on whether or not I like this book. I thought being thrown back in time in a different environment would be more interesting, but I'm struggling to learn a completely new cast of characters in completely new places. I also haven't really been grabbed by the Letheras storyline yet. Some interesting threads there though that I hope bear fruit soon.

The civil engineer in me is absolutely loving the Bugg's Construction plot line.
