The song "Que Sera Sera" brings a heavy tone to the book. The characters are at the point of understanding that they get to decide their future. But as the cyclist rides around with this song playing, it gives Amie and Anthony a chance to reflect on life. Amie soon decides that she needs to go back to Ben, no matter what happens,

No, short stringers are still human beings, and they deserve natural human rights. They deserve the treatment and respect of others, no matter when their lives tragically end. They didn't choose their fate, just like people do not get to pick their family or race. This should not be counted against them.

Yes, I would because it would feel like my fate had already been determined, so I would rather sacrifice my life for another person to live.

If I had a child, I would not look at their string. I would want my love for them to be the same, not driven by future grief.

I would not vote for Anthony. I disagree that every politician should have to show their string because that is not directly relevant to how they would perform in office, like Abraham Lincoln.

Hank chooses not to tell anyone about his string, which shows that he prefers to face his internal struggles alone rather than with others or loved ones. It's not until Anika finds his string that he learns to properly mourn his own life instead of living in loneliness and depression.

Yes, I believe in miracles because I trust in a God who can do the impossible. One example is Jesus rising from the dead.

He recognizes the killer, so he will be questioned. But he put in his two weeks' notice, so he won't be working at the hospital much longer. People will be anxious and fearful to go back to the local hospital soon because of the shooter. In our world, this kind of thing has sadly become numb to us. It's common to see shootings headlines in the news.

If I had a long string, I would not test it. I would live a nice, long life. However, if a loved one had a short string, I would be more prone to spend time with them and try new things/experiences if that is what they want to do.
