I'm hooked! Edward's thoughts are way darker than I imagined 15 years ago. I can also see Christian parallels I never saw before, like drinking blood is a metaphor for sin, and when one of the non human eating vampires relapses and makes a mistake it's like when a Christian slips up. And Carlisle obviously represents Jesus, the group is his followers or disciples. As a Christian, this is interesting to see.

They weren't lying when they said this book was cottage core cozy fantasy! Those are exactly the feelings I get. It's like the author knows me! An antisocial book lover as the main character. She lives in an old cottage by the sea and the first spell she works is a spell to make her garden fruits and veggies grow faster lol too perfect! Love this book!

I tried several Christian cowboy themed books before I found this one. I had no hope for it when I started because I couldn't stand the characters of the last few. There was no depth to them at all. The women were obsessed with the men and the men obsessed with the women and that was it. But this one is different! The characters are great and uniquely human. It reminds me of the show 1883!

I've made it halfway through the book. The first half is all about the company and how they went searching for Pippin and Merry who were with the Ents. I loved reading all the nature descriptions. Now I am heading into the second half where we get back to Frodo and Sam on their journey to Mordor together. I'm excited to read more about their misadventures with Smeagol.

I'm glad that my daughter and I are reading this book together. When the Netflix movie came out we watched it a lot together and really liked it, but the book is so different from the movie! It's so much more magical and out there, and the descriptions are beautifully written. We're enjoying reading this one together.

They've made it to the hidden doorway into the mines and it's been an exciting journey! I am so glad I stuck with getting through book 1 with all its description and little dialogue because now there's a nice balance and plenty of adventure to keep me entertained. It's hard to put down now!

All the different character's paths are finally crossing and why they are all in the story is starting to make sense. It's fun to see how they all share commonalities or lineage or struggles with each other. I'm excited to see where it goes now. And it's getting more magical too, so that's always fun.

This is my work read when I have spare time and I am really loving it. At first I didn't know where the story was going but now I see it unfolding before me, and then there's a magical element to it that I wasn't expecting that made it all the more fun to read. I am invested in the characters and can't wait to see what happens to them and how they all collide.

Now that I am into book 2 of the story and Frodo and friends are in Rivendell I am absolutely loving the book and I have a zeal for it that makes me not want to put it down. I regret now not having stuck with it the times I started it before. The beginning is just slow with little dialogue and much description but I promise if you get past that it ends up being really adventurous and fun!

This is my third time attempting this book. I always get about a quarter of the way and give up, which is crazy because I love the story! I didn't know why I struggled so hard with it before but now I see it's because there is very little dialogue most of the time and I thrive off dialogue. I like a good 50/50 balance. The descriptions are beautifully written but I can go on for pages with nothing else.

I'm really getting into the story now. I can see a love story unfolding between the cave dwelling healer and the stoic Alex. It was unexpected, but I love it, that the story is also adding an element of magic and fantasy to it when I thought it was pure Historical Fiction. I call that "when history meets fantasy" and I have a strong desire to write in this genre myself! I'm intrigued.

My first thoughts are that I like that they didn't spend too long recapping what we already saw in the movie. Within the first chapter it got right into the twisted part. I also really like the twist of this story. My only complaint so far is that it really doesn't feel like Merida's voice. Just the way she talks, the wording of what she's saying feels off. I've seen Brave at least 100 times so I know her voice.

I have to say this book is not what I expected it to be, and that's not entirely the author's fault but Dicken's fault himself apparently. I thought this would be more like "The Man Who Invented Christmas" movie centered around the tale. So far, it's just Dickens chasing one girl after another even though he's married, which with research I find he did do. It's kind of taken the joy out of "A Christmas Carol" for me.

I was not sure how I was going to like this book, though it was my most anticipated holiday read of the year. Little Women is so dear to my heart and I've read and listened to it so many times that I was worried this story would fall short...but it doesn't! I love it as if Lousia May Alcott wrote it herself! I do prefer more dialogue in my stories than this one has, but it fits since we are reading Marmee's diary.

Instantly fell in love with this story! I've read Lady Macbeth stories before but this one feels different. It has a little mixture of fantasy by adding magical elements, which speaks to Highland folklore. I wanted a "witchy" read for my fall reading list and I had a hard time choosing. I started "Wild is the Witch", and though it was a decent storyline I couldn't get into the YA style of writing.

The end of this novel is so intriguing, it's keeping me turning the pages! Usually after I read a massive Outlander book I feel the need to take a break and read some shorter reads for a bit, but I'm ready to dive into the next one after the spooky season's reads!

This book was a breath of fresh air after the last one, which I struggled to get into for the first half. I am finally getting ahead of the show soon and I'm exited to read the story without knowing what's coming. This one doesn't follow the show exactly either so there is some mystery. I really find myself looking forward to reading this every day.

After the first chapter I didn't think I would like the book. I stopped reading and then I came back to it. I'm so glad I did! It might have been the different style that made me think I wouldn't like it. When "the witch" is talking its just her talking, telling a story. If the pastor asks her a question she answers it, but you never see his question. At the end of every chapter he writes a letter to his wife.

I started and stopped this book a couple of times before I decided I just needed to plow through it. It's such a massive book, I don't know if the size intimidated me or if I just wasn't that into the story in the beginning. Once I got about a third of the way through, though, I was into the story and loving it like I do all Outlander books.

I forgot just how long this book is! I love it . There is so much more that is left out of all the different movies that it feels like a new book even though I've read it several times already. I also took to watching each and every movie version this year. 1933, 1949, 1993, and the newest one. The newest one is still my favorite with the 90s version at a close second. The older versions are just too sentimental

I finished Warrior Angel, bringing it in at a whopping 99,707 words! I can't believe the story of Kamlyn Paige, the broken girl turned supernatural Huntsman turned warrior angel is finally over! It's a bittersweet ending for me as I say goodbye to characters I've been writing for ten years now. I almost teared up thinking I wouldn't spend my days with this young woman I've come to know as well as myself!

I have way surpassed my goal of 75k words. I'm currently at 92k+ words and counting. I'm in the final battle scene between Kamlyn and the side of Light and her deranged father Tamiel and his fallen angels and side of Darkness. It's such a huge scene it's a little intimidating and I keep going back to add more in. There's so many characters and so many things happening, it's chaos!

It's all coming to a boiling in the pot now as the war with the fallen angels looms over Kamlyn. She's tried everything she can to build her army but her mind is still plagued with doubts, and torment from Tamiel that she can't make go away. The only place she hasn't tried to seek help from is the Chamber of Light, the location of which is shrouded in secrecy. But if she wants to win this war, she'll find a way.

It took me a while to get into this story only because I was expecting a super witchy Halloween read, and it was more of a story of pretty ordinary women, mothers and daughters, avoiding being caught as witches, though they performed little magic. I felt like I was reading a historical fiction about 19th century farmers in Britain. But now that I'm on the third generation, the magic is picking up and so is the story.

I always get excited when Kamlyn visits Arianthe, the land of witches, fairies, and dragons. It has everything that I love to write about and more. This time she is checking on the friends she left there for training, seemingly ordinary people who were trained as Huntsmen of the Darkness but found their calling elsewhere in Arianthe. This is also Kamlyn's first ride on a dragon and I have to say it was quite tranquil

I did it again. I just can't help myself! Zombies have made their way into the Chronicles of a Supernatural Huntsman series finally. As Tamiel's power punch weapon, the necromancer has forced the dead to rise and torment the human beings in their first move against the side of Light to take over the world. Now it's up to Kamlyn and her friends to hurry and rally their allies because the war has already begun.

Kamlyn & her friends have found the legendary warriors, the Amazons. Duty bound to help humanity survive, there is no doubt these women will stand at Kamlyn's side, but she's a little more than disappointed when she finds out there is nothing supernatural about them. They are just a bunch of women who through the generations have trained their whole lives to fight. Will it be enough to win against the fallen angels?

The story of King Jahaerys I was where I really got into the story, and it was a long on. Now I am into where the TV show starts with King Viscerys and his daughter Rahnerya. So far, it seems the show has followed the storyline really well, with only a few added dramatics. At first the book was hard to read because it does read like a history book with little dialogue, but now I'm hooked.

Kamlyn has met the Greek gods of old and walked away with less help than she had expected, but she was given a good tip on where to find an army to support her. It's off to Turkey so Kamlyn and her friends can try to locate the legendary army of Amazons. Duty bound to help the human race survive and thrive, this is the only sure ally Kamlyn has had in a long time as she's worked to grow her side of Light.

Kamlyn is having her meeting with the Greek gods and goddesses of old, trying to convince them to join her side of Light against the fallen angels. It's not going as well as she hoped. Even though these gods are a lot like her, they are vastly different in so many ways that it's hard for her to relate to them and make them see why it's their duty to help the humans before they become extinct in this upcoming war.
