I'm waiting for something. Anything. As the reader I'm in every other characters POV and there's a lot of them (so unnecessary) but none of them seem to have any idea about who "killed" her or if she was even killed at all. This has been underwhelming so far. And NO tension. Come on! A "who done it" gotta have some suspense! Something other than the frozen snow outside the hotel. Yawn.

OK Nathan! This chapter (24) actually had me sweating!! The ice statues crowding in, multiplying, the discovery, the BANGING!! Holy hell that shit was terrifying. So far so good. Evelyn and her drunk hubby can go outside in the next storm though cuz I'm sick of them both..

The POV jumping around every chapter is somthing I hope is more of like a set up for our main characters. I Wana see where this goes! The 2 chapters written from the POV of the couple in the car, John and Lisa, feel like it was written by someone else entirely. Cringe dialogue and repetitive writing. BUT, other than those 2, this book seems to be written pretty good!

I've started highlighting all the times a character "snarls" or someone/ something "hisses". It's made the last few chapters actually kinda fun. Like a word search. Chapter 54 was by far the corniest thing I have ever read. In my life. Ever. Chapter 55 was a lame porno I woulda LOVED if I was like idk 16? But it just reads as cheesy fangirl fanfic to me at the old age of 30(ish). *snarls*

Can these two just finally have a sex scene already? Im on chapter 43 and all they been doing is having witty, sarcastic and sometime PG-13 "banter". Not even conversations.. it's just a few back and forth suggestive remarks before one of them winnows away or gives the finger and says "Pig!" So juvenile. For being a big scary violent high Lord Rhysand is kind of boring. Hot.. but boooring!

I think I'm going to put this down now. Maybe I'll go back to it. I own a physical copy so I will get back to it. Maybe next year I'll try again. And then I'm going to give it to my highschool age niece because I think I just might be too old for this series.

First couple of pages were good... but I'm struggling now to hit the half way point. Is it gonna get better? Is there going to be a story? Is the female MC going to have more than just snarky and/or witty remarks and unbelievable talent with axes and knives? Is the male MC going to.. stop staring at her lips? Or have something interesting to say? This book has been a whole Lotta nothing so far!
