I’m really enjoying this book! It started to slow down for me at the halfway mark, though, so I’m hoping it picks up again or comes to a clearer understanding of the underlying narrative. Why is it we should follow this particular someone at this particular point in time, other than watching him suffer?

Enjoying these case studies of people who can’t be fully encompassed by either the viewpoint of the psychoanalyst or the neurologist.

Jonathan Abernathy is literary catnip for me :3

Ten pages in and I adore this already c:

Jebelli touches briefly on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which can be reprogrammed into any cell type in the human body, including neurons. Definitely curious to do some digging and learn if/how that's been applied to recent research.
