you can tell it's science fiction by how fake words are used everywhere and characters refer to proper nouns that one must infer to mean something fantastical. i visualise the hosts as looking a bot like the rag creature from pathologic

working together with doakes huh. at this point the show is still vaguely in line with the books, with some characters being different and dexter notably not being actively hunted by the police (besides doakes of course)
