I'm soooooooooo bored 😴😴😴 I'm halfway and really don't want to DNF it but I'm not having a good time and I have a feeling the explanation as to why they stopped talking two years ago is going to be dumb.

I am getting Happy Place vibes from this story. I really hope I like this book better though and that it isn't another miscommunication trope 🤔

I wish there was more focus on the plot. The constant inner monologue about being mates and the flowery language describing how they feel about each other is getting repetitive.

Enjoying the heck out of this book. I don't want to put it down 😁

I had my suspicions about that twist but like Tella, I'm not sure what's the truth and what's part of the game.👀

FINALLY! Things are finally starting to pick up and I was definitely taken off guard by that twist 😬

There is so much unnecessary detail. I don't need to know every random side characters back story or so many descriptions of random things. I get the author is trying to really build out this world but it's just too much and making it drag 😫

The premise of this book is so unique and interesting. However, I'm starting to struggle with remembering all the characters and their connection to Maggie. 🤔

Trying out a new genre. Hoping this helps me out of my slump 🤞

Geeze the vibe of this book is heavy and almost feels hopeless already. I wish there was more banter or anything to lighten things up a bit. I also feel like Fisher has lost some of his spark from the first book.

The story feels aimless... Where did the plot go? 😫

I already feel a connection with Eve and can relate to the constant need to overthink everything and the anxiety that comes with it.

All of this third act drama is so unnecessary

At this point, I just want to be done with this book. I refuse to DNF another book but I'm not enjoying the world or the characters 😫

While the plot is interesting, the characters are really bland. Not feeling a strong connection to anyone.

It makes zero sense they would expect her trust or really anything but pure hatred after they abducted her and threatened the people she cares about. 🙄

Feeling about as underwhelmed as I did with the first book. I will finish because I'm determined to end my DNF streak but with all the buildup to Daisy entering the fae realm... how it's actually playing out is a lot more mild than I expected 😏

It's been pretty obvious from the first time we meet him, who the Primus is.

I'm enjoying it so far. However, it's distracting me with how many times the description their "lips rolled over their teeth" has been used in such a little time.

I need more plot. It's starting to drag and I've been skimming a lot more 😫

Leon's Mindys give me the ick 🤢

Leon's character feels like such an afterthought. Definitely the weakest love interest. Hopefully we get more from him.

Some of the dialogue is really cringe worthy

So far I don't love where the plot is headed. I've never been a fan of the FMC putting her life on the line for a family who treats her like dirt.

I don't understand why Ferris stays with Hendrix. Their situation will never allow them to fully trust each other and it doesn't make logical sense she would stay with him after everything.

Hendrix is such a dick 😬

I mean I expected some sort of twist but I did not expect that 😱
